RIBs have been produced by semi-automatic interlocking pressing machine. This study aimed to extend previous research on the characteristics of newly developed RIBs. The initial rate of suction, dry density, efflorescence, thermal conductivity, and the elevated temperature was conducted. It was found that RIBs exhibited a lower density and higher initial rate of suction, as well as better thermal conductivity. The RIBâs compressive strength decreased while the porosity increased with the increase in the elevated temperature. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2021. publisher: Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH date: 2021 type: Article type: PeerReviewed identifier: Mohammed, B.S. and Al-Fakih, A. and Liew, M.S.
