The pile foundation is adopted to transfer the load from the structure to the soil when the structure is embedded in a weak soil stratum. Soil-pile system has a nonlinear behavior, thus, it is more complicated to understand. This study focuses on the numerical investigations of interaction soilâpileâstructure system (ISPS) and interaction soilâpile system (ISP) under lateral loads. The nonlinear static analysis is carried out considering the lateral capacity of ISPS and ISP system under lateral loading using the pushover analysis, with a parametric study. The results show that in most cases, the lateral capacity of the fixed system is low compared to lateral capacity in ISPS system when increasing the axial load, pile diameter and length of the pile in all types of sand. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2021. date: 2021 publisher: Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85100760855&doi=10.1007%2f978-981-33-6311-3_115&partnerID=40&md5=9125f675910f38758ac2964591cd92b0 id_number: 10.1007/978-981-33-6311-3₁₁₅ full_text_status: none publication: Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering volume: 132 pagerange: 1020-1026 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9789813363106 issn: 23662557 citation: Sekhri, K. and Yahiaoui, D. and Harahap, I.S.H.
