Three imidazolium based ILs (1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium) OmimNTf2, OmimPF6 and OmimSCN were synthesized, characterized and measured the thermophysical properties such as density ({\"I}?) sound speed (u) and viscosity ({\^I}.) of all ILs with DMF as solvent for binary mixture at various conditions. Furthermore, various derived thermophysical properties (Formula presented.), {\^I}?s,{\^I}?, (Formula presented.) and {\^I}.r, were calculated from experimental data. The type of interactions such as IL-IL or IL-solvent or solvent-solvent are occurred among the component molecules were estimated from the empirical parameters and COSMO{\^a}??Rs computational study. The obtained results show that the size of anion is governing the volumetric, acoustic and viscometric properties of the studied ILs with DMF. {\^A}{\copyright} 2021 Wiley-VCH GmbH}, url = {https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85103355880&doi=10.1002\%2fslct.202004769&partnerID=40&md5=9d65e98d9d5f5b6adbee1bbf2939f203} }
