This paper studies the software simulation for two alternative detection schemes that can support mapping; the hybrid WDM/SAC and a proposed reduced set of Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) for the hybrid WDM/SAC. The performance of the two systems have been simulated and analyzed by the Virtual photonics Instrument (VPI) version 7.1. ©2007 IEEE. date: 2007 type: Conference or Workshop Item type: PeerReviewed identifier: Mohammed, A. and Saad, N.M. and Babekir, E.I. and Elfadel, N. and Aljunid, S.A. and Anuar, M.S.
