The research is motivated by the need to reduce the human fatigue, installation time, cost and while maintaining consistent quality. The technical solution that is deemed feasible and capable of addressing the above mentioned issues is an electrically-powered semi-automated robotic system with omni-directional locomotive capability. The design parameters and system performance are discussed. © 2011 IEEE. date: 2011 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-83755219372&doi=10.1109%2fSTUDENT.2011.6089344&partnerID=40&md5=7d9c9e60adfd6204da94ce789d00b4bc id_number: 10.1109/STUDENT.2011.6089344 full_text_status: none publication: 2011 IEEE Conference on Sustainable Utilization Development in Engineering and Technology, STUDENT 2011 place_of_pub: Semenyih pagerange: 156-159 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781457704444 citation: Ahamed Khan, M.K.A. and Saharuddin, K.I. and Elamvazuthi, I. and Vasant, P.
