The investigated design is composed of a crescent-shaped antenna. The button disc is located on the top side of a textile material. The design shows dual frequency band like a monopole in 2.5185â2.7206 GHz, and a broadside pattern in 4.4475â5.3988 GHz, so that both the off- and on-body communication can be obtained, simultaneously. Another important feature of a wearable antenna is a specific absorption rate (SAR), so that SAR is calculated, which is 0.662 W/KG for low band and 0.294 for high band, respectively. The SAR is under the limits, according to the health and safety regulations. Therefore, the proposed design is suitable for the body-centric communications. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020. date: 2020 publisher: Springer official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85085163331&doi=10.1007%2f978-981-15-3284-9_52&partnerID=40&md5=ae365323e22e4a0883777ffc5c3bab28 id_number: 10.1007/978-981-15-3284-9₅₂ full_text_status: none publication: Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems volume: 118 pagerange: 457-464 refereed: TRUE issn: 23673370 citation: Ali, S.M. and Jeoti, V. and Saeidi, T. and Nozad Mahmood, S. and Zainal Abidin, Z. and Rehman, M.
