Such issues may have adverse effects on communication which must be considered especially when transmitting sensitive information like heart rate in healthcare applications. As an alternate low-cost technology, Visible Light Communication (VLC) systems are becoming increasingly popular given its unregulated spectrum and inherent security feature with no potential threats to human safety. While numerous studies have been presented in the literature for channel modelling and characterization of indoor VLC links based on transmitter and receiver related physical parameters, in this paper an appropriate statistical attribute has been used to analyze the effects of LED lamps' layout on uniformity of illuminance and Root Mean Square (RMS) delay spreads using two main types of arrangements: single LED array and four LED arrays. © 2019 IEEE. %Z cited By 1; Conference of 14th IEEE Malaysia International Conference on Communication, MICC 2019 ; Conference Date: 2 December 2019 Through 4 December 2019; Conference Code:158634
