To meet this objective, authors employed the hedonic theory of consumption experience and observational learning theory to propose a conceptual model demonstrating that it is the gamerâs playful-consumption experience of a digital game which actually influences videogame consumers to observe and learn from the digital game. This study is first among others as it takes the theoretical support from hedonic theory of consumption experience, particularly the playful-consumption experience in predicting the videogame consumersâ observational learning in the videogame environment. The study is based on the conceptual model and hence, another empirical study is under way to prove its validation in the videogame setting. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2018. date: 2018 publisher: Springer Verlag official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85056478108&doi=10.1007%2f978-3-030-02762-9_16&partnerID=40&md5=ae4c4797ac3af00ec126e828c1d18a81 id_number: 10.1007/978-3-030-02762-9₁₆ full_text_status: none publication: Lecture Notes in Computer Science (including subseries Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence and Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics) volume: 11243 pagerange: 159-168 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9783030027612 issn: 03029743 citation: Abbasi, A.Z. and Ting, D.H. and Hlavacs, H. and Fayyaz, M.S.
