This paper reports on the development of a simulation game, RoadsTrain (RTSG) designed to transfer knowledge about safe pedestrian behavior to school children aged 7 to 12. The prototyping method is used to develop the RTSG. The outcome of this paper is to compares current modes of safety learning to game-based approaches and identifies areas for future research and innovation. © 2010 IEEE. date: 2010 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-78049391352&doi=10.1109%2fITSIM.2010.5561536&partnerID=40&md5=327f97aeac43586ad2b9d755c4e790e7 id_number: 10.1109/ITSIM.2010.5561536 full_text_status: none publication: Proceedings 2010 International Symposium on Information Technology - Engineering Technology, ITSim'10 volume: 2 place_of_pub: Kuala Lumpur pagerange: 924-929 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781424467181 citation: Ariffin, M.M. and Downe, A.G. and Aziz, I.A.A.
