Furthermore, this review summarizes and compares all existing foam models approaches including Mechanistic, Semi-Empirical and Empirical. Finally, it discusses foam models in different reservoir simulators in detail and presents different approaches for obtaining models parameters in simulators. The comparison results showed that Emprical models are more suitable for simulation study due to less required paramters and faster calculation; however, these models might not be a appropriate in transient foam flow. Moreover, the challenges about he results of this review provide an valuble insight about foam behaiviour. © 2018 Elsevier B.V. date: 2018 publisher: Elsevier B.V. official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85043457661&doi=10.1016%2fj.jngse.2018.02.017&partnerID=40&md5=1a5aa6318aabc8c51fc6a06127976e3f id_number: 10.1016/j.jngse.2018.02.017 full_text_status: none publication: Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering volume: 53 pagerange: 163-180 refereed: TRUE issn: 18755100 citation: Hematpur, H. and Mahmood, S.M. and Nasr, N.H. and Elraies, K.A.
