The solubility of CO2 and Methane (CH4) in fresh IL; C 6mimBF4 was also measured using binary mixtures of CO2 and CH4 i.e., 60/40 (B64) and 40/60 (B 46) volume percent at temperatures (303.15 K, 318.15 K, 333.15 K) and pressures up to 60 bar. The solubility measurements for both gases were performed in a specifically designed high pressure miniature gas solubility cell. The solubility of CO2 and CH4 in the studied IL increased almost linearly with an increase in pressure and decreased with an increase in temperature and no significant difference was observed for the amount of CO2 absorbed in fresh and recycled IL at the studied range of operating conditions. It was observed that the presence of CH4 significantly reduced the solubility of CO2 in the studied IL. © 2010 IEEE. date: 2010 official_url: https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-78651450057&doi=10.1109%2fICBEE.2010.5650723&partnerID=40&md5=c084df5420527b900abd8fc88598cd8d id_number: 10.1109/ICBEE.2010.5650723 full_text_status: none publication: ICBEE 2010 - 2010 2nd International Conference on Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering, Proceedings place_of_pub: Cairo pagerange: 39-42 refereed: TRUE isbn: 9781424487479 citation: Muhammad, A. and Shafeeq, A. and Rizvi, Z.U.H. and Ijaz, A. and Mutalib, M.I.A.
