Abstract

Processing Real-Time image sequence is now possible due to advancement of technological developments in digital signal processing, wide-band communication, and high-performance VLSI. With the developments in video technology, the surveillance system can be constructed with some low cost gadget such as web-camera. In this modern life with increasing number of crime rate, people in society desire for security and safety; surveillance has become the important factor to oppose threats of crime and terrorism. This paper proposes a Surveillance System for security purpose in enclosed environment with having a multi-camera network for sequence of image detection via Real Time Protocol (RTP). The most fundamental part of surveillance system is foreground detection which is retrieval of object of interest. The object of interest can be retrieved by using background subtraction technique. The result from segmentation does not have interpretation about the object which is leads to labeling of objects. The Multi Cameras utilized to solve problem arise from usage of single camera and detects the objects when the objects occlusion occurs; that is detecting objects of interest when an object mask another object.
