Abstract

VOLTTRON� is an open-source decentralized sensing platform. Its control strategies include the use of agents and transaction-based controls. In this manuscript, various aspects of VOLTTRON� platform has been studied while focusing on Multi-agent System (MAS) integration environment. The paper expresses possible commercial and industrial market contributions of the platform. This identifies the roles and strategies used by the distributed environment and analysis case study based upon the communication latency in the interactive MAS environment. © 2018 IEEE.
