Abstract

Gas to particle mass transfer coefficients are measured in a downer of 88 cm in height and 2.5 cm in inner diameter. The effect of gas velocity, solids flux and particle size on mass transfer coefficient was studied. From the experimental results a correlation has been proposed in terms of dimensionless parameters.
