Abstract

The research in education system describes that students generally don't produce good results because of the use of traditional ways of educational system. It has been identified that the use of interactive technologies, constructive methods and appropriate interfaces has a great impact in improving creative education and learning. One of such interactive tool is multi-touch tabletop which helps teachers and students to make natural interactions with it. Different studies have identified multiple issues related to tabletop technology e.g. the design and usability issues, content-orientation, occlusion-aware visual feedback, general application support, display size, gesture interaction, group interaction and the use of tangible objects. This literature survey highlights the importance of content-orientation with the occlusion-aware visual feedback in interface design of collaborative learning environment. Furthermore, this study allows immense prospective for students in learning and understanding of the current educational concepts. © 2013 IEEE.
