Abstract

Physical properties such as density, viscosity, surface tension, and refractive index of piperazine (PZ) activated aqueous solutions of 2-amino-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol (AHPD) were measured. The experiments covered the PZ mass fraction of (1.74 to 10.35) mass . The AHPD concentration was varied from (13 to 25) mass . These properties were investigated over the temperature range of (303.15 to 333.15) K and were correlated as a function of temperature. There was a decrease in all measured properties with increasing temperature. © 2011 American Chemical Society.
