Abstract

Simulation studies to investigate the influence of fractals on resonant frequencies of a rectangular microstrip antenna are presented. The locations and number of fractals on the patch of a microstrip antenna are varied and the resonant frequencies are evaluated. The study reveals that there are specific locations and size of fractals that affect the resonant frequency of one or both the modes. © 2004 IEEE.
