Abstract

This paper introduces a compact reconfigurable dual-band monopole antenna for Long-Range (LoRa) IoT applications. It incorporates a PIN diode for seamless switching between 433 MHz and 868 MHz frequencies. With dimensions of 80 80 1.6 mm3, it is ideal for space-constrained applications. The antenna achieves a 2 dBi peak gain and exhibits a signal transmission efficiency exceeding 90. It addresses the demand for a reconfigurable antenna solution in Europe and Asia's LoRa bands, thereby enhancing the capabilities of LoRa IoT systems with flexible frequency operation. © 2023 IEEE.
