Abstract

Potential purchasers are not only looking for cutting-edge technology, efficient engines, comfort, and appealing styling but also a strong sense of total product quality. Therefore, modern car development includes major considerations for interior sound quality design. In addition to the vehicle's load, the noise generated by the interior vehicle will also be considered. Many efforts have been made to reduce the structure-borne noise that enters the vehicle, including engine vibration, tire-road interaction, and wind noise at high driving speeds. The mechanical noises of automobiles have been the focus of considerable research and are now generally minimal, particularly in the vehicle segment. Therefore, the issue of minimizing the noise of vehicles is the primary goal of this research. For example, the level of wind noise that enters the vehicle through the side door window seal has a major impact on the customer's assessment of the overall quality's vehicle. This strategy covered more than 20 peer-reviewed articles on this topic. Thus, the best way to get an Articulation Index to increase 8.7 was to seal the gaps between the door and the body. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. All rights reserved.
