The increasing number of children that are still missing in Malaysia is alarming even though the number of cases is decreasing because it involves teenagers in the majority. Teenagers are missing due to many reasons which some of it are because of peer pressure, social problems and abduction. The technologies that are used are a geofencing technique that allows remote monitoring of a predefined area that is surrounded by a virtual boundary. If the targeted user exit or enter the boundary, a notification or alert will be triggered. Through this, parents can monitor their children's location and be alerted if their children are out of the assigned area. Going outside of the assigned area within the time allocated would means that might be an unwanted activity done by the child that could lead to a possible dangerous thing to happen. UAT is used to validate the proposed prototype. This mobile application is aiming to aid in preventing the teenager from went missing and to locate them using geofencing. © 2018 IEEE.
