This paper aimed to provide a comprehensive summary of all of the responsibilities, duties, activities, and effective procedures of an industrial advisory boards IAB. Providing strategies for improve and sustain a strong industrial advisory board for engineering collages. In additional, a noteworthy discussion on the challenges of assembling the advisory board, to faculty involvement will be drawn. To exploit the use of the advisory board in the assessment process; to inform curriculum design to enhance the employability of graduate; or to increase faculty involvement in industry. Within context of accreditation, opinions on how advisory boards can be used in the assessment process are presented. © 2017 IEEE.
