Dr. Ahmad Bukhari bin Aujih is an accomplished academic and AI researcher at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), where he serves as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Holding a PhD in the same field from UTP, his expertise lies in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, and Computer Vision, with a specialized focus on developing noise-invariant and computationally efficient neural network architectures. He is notably recognized for creating EDR-Net, a lightweight deep learning model for detecting diabetic retinopathy that earned the prestigious MyEMBS Research Excellence Award 2023. Beyond his academic contributions, Dr. Bukhari actively bridges the gap between research and industry as a member of the PETRONAS-UTP 5G Innovation Lab, where he leads image processing developments and contributes to PETRONAS analytics projects focused on construction productivity and resource optimization
