Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Anuaruddin Ahmadon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and a core researcher at the Center for Research in Data Science (CeRDaS). He obtained his Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) from Yamaguchi University, Japan, where he also served as an Assistant Professor (2017-2024) before joining UTP. His research expertise spans AI-driven big data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, cyber-security and data privacy protection, contributing to both academic and industrial innovation. Dr. Anuaruddin has led and co-led multiple national and international R&D projects, including Japan-Malaysia collaborations on data analytics, IoT cyber-defense, and AI analytics for IoT systems. He has received several international awards, notably the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society Young Scientist Award (2016), the IEEE ZINC Special Merits Award (2021), ICICSE Best Paper Award (2023), and IEEE GCCE Best Paper Award (2024). With over 100 publications in journals, IEEE conferences, and book chapters, his research bridges academia and industry through AI-based solutions for secure IoT networks and intelligent decision-making systems. He maintains strong industry partnerships in Japan and Malaysia to develop and deploy real-world AI and IoT applications across manufacturing, agriculture, and cybersecurity field. At UTP, he contributes to UTP training and consultancy programs, delivering short courses and professional workshops in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT Analytics for industry and government participants. He also serves as a Technical Committee Board Member of the IEEE Consumer Technology Society, a Professional Technologist (MBOT), a reviewer for IEEE, Inderscience, and Springer publications, and a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of Internet of Things and Cyber-Assurance and the Evolution of Information, Communication and Computing Systems (EICCS).
