Short Biography:
AP Ts. Dr. Hafizan Mat Som who graduated from the Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom for her PhD in TVET Education is currently the Associate Professor, as well as upholding position as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Advancement & Quality) at University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP). She also served as Institutional Representative in the KYP Education Sdn Bhd Management Committee and Director of Centre of Excellence namely Centre for Academic & Social Innovation (CASi). She once was the Vice President of Academic (2017-2018) and the Vice President of Research & Industry Linkages (2016-2017). She completed her post-doctoral at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Unisza) in 2017 under the supervision of Prof Ramle Abdullah which focusing on development of education for indigenous people in Pahang. She has 20 years' experience in teaching and training. She started her career as an instructor for Sijil dan Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia at IKIP Training Sdn Bhd. She involved in the Technical, Vocational, Education and Training sector for almost 10 years before pursing her PhD. She has been appointed as Visiting Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi Brunei starting Jan 2023. Currently, AP Ts. Dr. Hafizan's academic and research interests involve Technology-enhanced learning, E-Learning, Organizational Strategic and Forecast Planning, Social Innovation, Indigenous people development, Business Information System and Business Intelligence. She produced few publications including articles in refereed journals including ISI and Scopus indexed, conference proceedings that were presented nationally and internationally. Apart from teaching, she also actively sharing her knowledge through training and short courses on corporate strategic planning, leadership programme as well as charity programme including disabilities.
