Dr. Koyande earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham Malaysia, where his research focused on the biorefinery of Chlorella sp. using integrated multiphasic systems for biofuel, feed, and wound healing applications. He also holds a Master of Engineering (Honours) in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the same institution.

His professional journey includes postdoctoral research funded by Cquestr8 Sdn Bhd, where he investigated enhanced mineral weathering for gigatonne-scale carbon sequestration. He has collaborated with international teams across academia and industry, including roles as a farm manager cum scientist at Biolina Corporation and a business development executive at Vision Earthcare Pvt Ltd, where he contributed to large-scale environmental projects in India.

He is an associate member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK), a graduate member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia, and has held memberships with IEMA (UK) and the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA). His technical expertise spans mammalian cell culture, wastewater treatment, and advanced analytical instrumentation, alongside proficiency in software tools like Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB, and AutoCAD.

Beyond research, Dr. Koyande is actively involved in science communication and outreach through his co-founded platform, PhD Clinicus, where he creates motivational and educational content for aspiring researchers.
