Dr Syahrir Ridha is Director for Institute of Hydrocarbon Recovery and also Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). He has been with the organization for the last 6 years. His research interest includes drilling technology, well cementing, drilling fluids and wellbore integrity. He has secured several national and international research grants as a project leader. He is currently managing MSc in Drilling Engineering program since 2016. He has delivered several short course training at both National and International levels. Ridha has authored and co-authored more than 35 technical papers. He holds a PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering from UTP. Ridha is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineer, Energy Institute and European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers.
