Laboratory Measurements of Eleotrical Resistivity at Reservoir Conditions Academic Article uri icon

abstract

  • Summary An experimental study to investigate the influence of variations in test conditions and laboratory procedures on the electrical properties of rocks is presented. Results suggest that the cementation and saturation exponents in Archie's equation should be determined in the laboratory at near-reservoir conditions to prevent an error of up to 8% from being introduced during the determination of water saturation.
