- Muhammad Moniruzzaman completed his M.Sc. (2004) and Ph.D (2007) in biochemical engineering from Kanazawa University, Japan. He received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. His research interest in the areas of design and development of nontoxic and biodegradable ionic liquids and their applications as green solvents or/and (bio)materials in a wide range of fields including biochemical Engineering, environmental science & engineering, surfactant technology, biomass processing and pharmaceutics including drug delivery and formulations. He is now editorial board member of Biochemical Engineering Journal. Muhammad Moniruzzaman is currently working as an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia and the head of life science cluster at the Center of Research in Ionic Liquids (CORIL).
