Dr Yew is a senior lecturer and a program leader of postgraduate studies in Computer Information Sciences Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS after working as a Software Engineer in International Business Machine (IBM) Malaysia. Dr Yew specializes in software engineering of Artificial Intelligence applications, data analytics, knowledge capture from digitization of domain artefacts. He has applied the specializations in digitalization, analytics and automation of documents and organizational processes especially in engineering audit such as infrastructure electrical safety review and civil construction constructability review. Currently, he is serving as a consulting author for Pelangi Publications and Praxis Publication Singapore. He has authored several Oxford-Fajar Malaysia ICT textbooks at undergraduate, matriculations, polytechnic and secondary school levels. Notable contribution is Computer Science Textbook for Form 4 Secondary school with the Malaysian Ministry of Education.
